Experiment #2

This experiment is to test the theory that the world reflects what you want to see and it is only your expectation which prevents wonderful things from entering your life.

Therefore the intent for the next 24 hours is to see as many maroon coloured cars as possible. Now, Pam suggests looking for ‘sunset-beige’ coloured cars. I’m really not a fan of beige things so I’ve chosen differently. Whether the fact I’m now thinking about not thinking about sunset-beige coloured cars and also thinking about maroon coloured cars will affect the experiment, only time will tell.

Part two will take place in the following 24 hour period. I will be hunting for yellow butterflies. Yes, yellow butterflies in … err …  January!

Experiment begins at 1:30 p.m. on 31st December 2013 and ends at 1:30 p.m. on 2nd January 2014.

E-Squared

Merry Christmas – Season’s Greetings!

Without explanation for the extended absence I’m beginning again with a little experiment over the festive period and into 2014.

As directed by Pam in her book E-Squared this is experiment number 1.
It is now 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd December 2013. I call upon the infinite force which is eternally present to make itself known, unequivocally, and by means of a blessing – a gift. A blessing in a form which is not vague; and a blessing which is unquestionably for me. There are now 48 hours for this blessing to be bestowed (6:00 p.m on the 25th December). My part of the deal is to pay attention throughout this experiment and expect the blessing, laying aside doubt and scepticism for the duration.

Preparing For Change

The best way to prepare for a Big Shift is to cultivate mental and emotional states that ripen us to be ready for anything:

* a commitment to not getting lost inside our own heads;

* a strategy to avoid being enthralled with the hypnotic lure of painful emotions, past events, and worries about the future;

* a trust in empirical evidence over our time-worn beliefs and old habits;

* a talent for turning up our curiosity full blast and tuning in to the raw truth of every moment with our beginner’s mind fully engaged;

* and an eagerness to dwell gracefully in the midst of all the interesting questions that tease and teach us.

Everything just described also happens to be an excellent way to prime yourself for a chronic, low-grade, always-on, simmering-at-low-heat brand of ecstasy — a state of being more-or-less permanently in the Tao, in the groove, in the zone.
